Osmolator tunze problems.

So i adjusted my ato osmolator 3155 so only the tip of the sensor touching the water. But unfortunately when the pumps goess off it fills a little higher than the tip is that normal?

Then why my salinity keeps fluctuating. When i filled my tank. It was at 1.026 2 days ago now its 1.027 and 1.028. I just dont get it.

Has the level changed on the sensor?
Where is the sensor exactly?
How big is the area its in?

Few questions;
You are running rodi for topoff, correct?
New setup, first time with a sump.
How big is your sump?
Is the sensor in the return compartment?
How are you testing your sg. ( specific gravity)

Was the water line above the sensor when you first installed the ATO ? If so, then the water evaporated and the ATO took a while to function. When the sensor felt the water going down, it went off but the salinity had already fluctuated.

Adjust your salinity once without putting more water in and then you’ll see if you still have a problem. My guess is you won’t.

Yes exactly that! I installed it above you are 100% right. What should i do to fix it now. I have my sensor almost touching the water now.

Yes 18 gallons sump. With milwauke ma877 i ran out of the calibration fluid they provided but im using rodi water like they suggested or thats not good?

Not sure about distilled or rodi. They had calibration fluid with it? I would think that would be more accurate.

So the sensor is in the chamber with the return pump, correct?
With an 18 gallon sump, you shouldn't have much fluctuation.
Have you checked that it's working properly? Easy to do. Just start sliding the sensor up the sump wall until it turns on. Wait until it turns off. Should be much time the pump is on and shouldn't have to slide it up much to get it to turn on.
Once verified and set to where you want the sump level IN YOUR RETURN PUMP AREA, adjust your sg. To high sg, remove salt water from sump. Just a cup an hour until it's right.
To low sg, either slide the sensor down and/or add salt water to sump. 1 cup a day until correct.

Well now that it’s gone down, you don’t have to do anything. Just keep an eye on it and it should be working fine. Let us know.

Just readjust your salinity without adding more water.
