My reef has been up almost 8 months. I had lots of hair algae that an army of urchins have devoured, raised my lights and put in an algae scrubber and the GHA is almost gone. I’ve noticed a new, stringy algae start showing up in spots. Looking for confirmation if it is ostreopsis heptagona and advice on what I should do next. I do currently have a small amount of GFO and carbon in a reactor...should I take it offline?

Definitely ostreopsis. What are your NO3 and PO4? Do you have a UV available?
I would stop the GFO unless your PO4 is really high but I would definitely run carbon non stop and change it often. Ostreopsis is extremely toxic.

NO3 is 1ppm and po4 is 0 on Hanna checker. I do have a UV sterilizer but it's hard plumbed from our sump to the DT. I emptied the GFO and changed out the carbon in the dual reactor.
Going to find potassium phosphate and nitrate as well as another UV sterilizer to run directly to and from the DT.
