OT: FW mollies or shrimp wanted

I was just joking about the undergravel filter.

So far when I've used a HOB, I just use it to get some circulation. I haven't bothered to put any media in it, except occasionally a handful of pillow stuffing for a day or two if I stir up a bunch of sand. I should probably get a submersible light and grow some chaeto in there.

Haha, okay. Not everyone knows the issues with them so....yeah.

I use an HOB but only for mechanical filtration (removing inedible food particles, etc.) I want to get one of those external hang-on breeder boxes by Marina and use it as a small refugium for algae and pods. Can't keep chaeto in my display for nothin'. The snails keep eating it.

Undergravel filters do not work well with sand and they have a tendency to build up sludge underneath them. No good for a SW tank. Most of the FW fishkeepers I know won't use them either.
