OT: What I have been breeding lately

Hi y'all,

Lately I am working with Blue Eye Rainbowfish (Pseudomugil gertrudae).

Here's a picture of an adult fish:

Here's a movie of a mature egg that I took under microscope. It is ready to hatch. As a matter of fact, the egg hatched shortly after taking this video.

Hi Joejoe,

My planted tank is doing very well, thanks to Aqua Soil Amazonia substrate and Amano Shrimp. I have been very busy for the past few weeks working over 40 hours a week and taking care of the tiny rainbowfish fry. I kinda neglected both my 75 planted and 180 reef tanks, but they are doing so well without me (maybe because of the absense of my care lol.)

I have to look for new batch of driftwood. The existing ones are getting thinner and thinner. Some parts are literally paper thin.

I've got a big piece of driftwood that we got from the shoreline of some lake in Tennessee several years ago. I hung it in the dogwood tree when we got some Florida broms to mount on it. The broms are long since gone but the piece of driftwood is still hanging on the tree. If you want to swing by and get it the next time Reilly get a hankering for some of those high priced cookies at Fresh Market you can have it.

Looking @ this fish makes me think about setting up a freshwater tank.. I love it thanks for posting this!!
