Not looking to bash, but I just want to give a little insight to explain my situation. Long story short I’ve been selling and installing Neptune products exclusively for my entire career in this industry which is over 10 years now, and I love the product. The product development has improved greatly over the decade, and I’m very happy and familiar with the product. At this point all of my high end maintenance clients are decked out with Neptune products, and changing the controllers on all my clients is impossible. So I’m in a pickle because I no longer want to distribute Neptune products. Like I said, I love the product, but I do not agree with how they do business. I’ve been unhappy now for over 3 years, and I’ve been very open with them on how I feel. I still can not come to an agreement with them, and they feel my expectations are too high and I’m asking for special treatment. Maybe so, and I’m not saying this is 100% their fault, but I can’t afford to spend the amount of money they require of me to be treated the way I want to treated as a customer. I’m a very small business, and I buy what I can afford. I by far spend more money annually on Neptune than I do on any other singular brand in the industry. It might be small potatoes, but it’s my livelihood. I’d love to spend more if I had the money I promise because that would mean I’m making more than I am. My biggest problem is I cannot fill the demand of customers wanting the trident who bought the new apex with the expectations of purchasing a trident from me in the near future. Almost a year has gone by Since the tridents release, and I still have not fulfilled even 50% of my customers who purchased an apex from me since 2017. With that said, I have decided today I will explore other options for controllers.
What I want to know is what are you using other than Apex? Do you have any experience or recommendations? I’m not an IT guy so I need something that is easy to network. I want something that is reliable. I guess if there is no comparable option then I guess my future builds from now on will just have to be more basic and simple. Like the good ol days! Lol
