So I have an Apex EL and use for the most basic aquarium related things. With that said, I found my Apex is good for notifying me of certain non-reef related items to. Yesterday I get an alarm at 4:45 PM that my temp is above 81 degrees (81.1) I check fusion and nothing seems off. The outside temp is hot (I think we peaked at 95/96 degrees). Well my halides will shut off in less than an hours so I figure maybe that will help.
Well I keep getting alarms over the next several hours where things peaked at 82.2 degrees. This is well after lights off. And I’m still not home (at the state fair). So now I’m thinking heater failure (though it seemed to take too long to peak). I open fusion and shut down all unnescessary items and any heater outlets from auto to off. Anyway, I contacted our babysitter and asked her what the house temp was and she says it’s 84 in the house with “system malfunction” on the ac.
Had her reset the AC and everything is now fine. Now I need to find out what’s wrong with the AC lol
