Rest in peace Jake - I've enjoyed your channel, infectious enthusiasm for this shared passion, and exceptional knowledge for near on 15 years now. A true loss to the reefing community. So sad.

A loss for the community. I’ve always enjoyed his various reviews and videos. Prayers and condolences to the family and friends as they cope with this unexpected loss. Hopefully, he was on his way doing what he most enjoyed!

If true very sad.
I can’t find any other mention on this anywhere.
I would have thought it would at least, be out there in other medias.
If true very sad.

Overseas sadness.. Reef community here in Brazil is also shocked! Jake was a reference here..
Rest in peace buddy!

I'm praying for his family.

Some reports hitting now.
Very sad.
Great contributor.

His passion for this hobby was contagious , you could see the joy and enthusiasm on his face just talking about it. The man lived and breathed reef tanks….

so incredibly sad. Rest In Peace Jake .

I posted on the other thread. RIP Jake…your content will live with us forever! What a tragic loss for the reefing community!

Does anybody know the cause of death?

So sad. What an inspiration to the community. I saw him at Aquashella and his presentation was quite good. His devotion and love for the hobby really made an impression on me. He was never about the money.

I'm totally shocked, I was just listening to Reef Therapy today. I am so sad by this news.

Is there any more info on what happened? I don't want to be insensitive. Quite the opposite. I'm just having a hard time processing this one. A huge kick to the stomach here.
Unfortunately not much more info I could find, but here is what Rob Mougey said (from Inland_Reef)

Very tragic news. Loved his passion for the hobby and his willingness to share it. This has been a tough week for me personally: first a student a Princeton and now Jake.

Thoughts and prayers to his family.

With a heavy heart I'm delivering the news that our beloved Reef Builder icon Jake Adams received his wings.... it hadn't hit the web yet but it will. As more details come in I'll report back. My condolences to all of his family, friends and anyone that knew him.
So sorry to hear that! He should be remembered as a legend for our hobby! God be with you mate…
