Our hobby. Wait I mean addiction

Oh yeah. Lots of Florida reefers on here. I have 44 cub scouts. My guys are a little younger, but I try to support any hobby that keeps them occupied and drug free. It matters.

I haven't seen too many reefers from south Florida at least on here

What light do u think I should go for
Look, I know most people use way nicer lights than I do. I use compact t5. Somebody else should answer that for you. I do know there are some cheap easy led versions of blue lights for a tank your size.

I wouldn't invest a ton in a tank you want to upsize.

I kinda want a t5 ho 2-4bulb 24" fixture. It's just too expensive in the long run

I personally would go with a aquatic life t5 quad fixture or hydra 52 or a cheaper version would be the hydra 26 hd would do

There might be somebody that has one sitting in a closet they'd be willing to let go for much less than what you would have spent on a new one.

First lesson. Never reveal how much your budget actually is at max end. Let people name a price. Work from there. Post a pic of the lighting you'd like to have.

If 200 is the max I would say a nemo light, but you would most likely only be able to keep soft corals. It is a decent light tho

I want to keep sps lps and softies so I'm going with a kessil a160we or a black box 165w light or cheap used t5

Nice. There is a generic version on eBay for 23.00. Type in 24" led marine aquarium light. I'm sure somebody on here has something similar they can make you a great deal on. Lots of people start out with 10 gallon tanks.

T5 has done well with soft coral and a hammer in our tank. No SPS. Above my skill level.
