Yea I am going to start having approx. 3 per gallon. 2 of our reefs are in my teenage sons room and he has so much algae. I am done scrubbing his rockwork for him. Astraea dont turn themselves over.

Oh wow. But I don’t think snails will do the job at this stage. I would just do a restart.
It is already so much better. I was thinking about a "restart" but if he continues as he is, it is only a short time before it is overgrown again. So I will keep enough snails in there to make algae grow a non-issue. Here is a pic. from tonight:

This months coral food. Went deep sea fishing today and as the deckhand was filleting our cod, I noticed a couple of them had eggs. Gonna freeze the eggs and throw some into the blender to make our nightly coral feast
