Out of ideas...(moon brain)

With phosphates high, anything you put in there to absorb it will exhaust quickly. So Im going to take a shot at this and say your number probably hasn't changed, but maybe dropped one point, ya need to change it out every couple of days until your at your desired number.

I hope I don't have to do that o.O I only have enough to change it out once. I'll watch it, though, and see what I have to do....

Beginning to think I'm going to have to replace the rock entirely. What a pain.
 
I used a Lanthanum product to remove the phosphate from my tank, it does it alot faster than gfo does. But if theres alot in the tank it can get stringy when it binds.

I would, but I am completely skimmerless. No reactor, either, so GFO's a no-go.

Just checked the phosphate. It looks to be between 1 and .25...but with this kit it's almost impossible to tell between those numbers. :/
This is using exactly half the recommended amount.

I'll change it out (or add) to the other half in one more week or so.

Right now I'm just trying to hold out until my upgrade...and I need to change water but I'm waiting on my replacement filters (which should be here Tuesday!)
