Anyone have some feedback on how coral vendors do these out of state shows like rap and bring 500 corals?
How do they do it? Do they drive their? Fly? Ship corals? I would love to know. Jason fox has an amazing set up but how does he get it all to the show when he lives out of state?

I know some drive, my lfs packs up a trailer and heads out, I went with them to macna in new Orleans to help them out with the drive and loading and unloading it definitely was a lot of work.

I've wondered the same. Those frag containers are amazing!

I am assuming they have to transport tanks and their existing water, heater, lights etc. That is a tough gig!

BUT.....they sure do make some money once they are there I bet!

Not necessarily.

I have talked to a few vendors that stopped doing the Big Shows because Costs are soooo high.

A Table at MACNA can cost $3,400 plus there are alot of "Hidden" fees.

Plus Hotel, Plane Tickets, Employees, Shipping, Gas, etc.

A few Vendors told me they Broke Even or Lost Money at MACNA due to all the expenses.

They Usually prefer Frag Swaps where a Table is $30 to $100 typically with no hidden fees.

Jason Fox was at the Cincinnati frag swap in January and said he drove 7 hours to get there

Interesting! Driving seems tough when your going a few states over. But to ship all the equipment seems insane. Now I do like the idea of a carry on to bring the corals. Atleast that way its only 3-4 hours in the box. I would hate to ship corals to rap only to find them all doa.
