Replaced my my Eight year old Danner 12 with a Simplicity 1600. Also got rid of the Hose to the Media Cylinders. Note; the Vacuum Break squirting in the Sump, also keeps the water surface stirred. Temperature already dropped one degree in 2-/12 hours.

Nice! The Danner is a workhorse that will last forever, but I know what you mean about the temperature. They put off some heat!!!
