Outage starts this weekend

I start the outage on Sat. at Watts Bar and I'll be on 6, 12 hour days. 72 hours a week is alot of extra money to play with!!:bigsmile:

Outage time is when a nuclear plant shuts down for preventative maintenance and to refuel. They also take this time to install any new safety features available and also loose about a million a day in revenue.

I'm so happy some one besides me didn't have a clue as to what an outage was. At first I thought Modifyd was trying to tell us something....

Thanks! I knew in general what an outage was (power outage), but with no idea what Watt's Barr is or your line of work, I was at a loss about what you were talking about.

Enjoy the extra loot and be careful with those fuel rods!

I helped in the electrical design efforts on Watts Bar Unit 1 right before it went into operation. I was just one of the little cogs in the wheel out in trailers 15 and 17.
