Hello I’m having an issue with using brs dosers on any eb8 outlets 1-3 and 5-7. When they turn on they do not turn off. From the search’s Ive done I’ve figured out that the load is to low to de energize the relay in eb8. I have 6 brs dosers that I want to use on this eb8. My question is what would the best thing be to do? Should I get 2 way cord splitter and then plug light bulb into the split for each outlet to add to the load? This would just be little crazy to have to do. Wondering what others have done with this issue

This is a known issue since the release of the EB8. The solid-state relays fail to turn off when the power draw is very low, such as with small pumps or cabinet lights. If you try adding a secondary load to the same output with a splitter, it will need to be something more substantial than a simple LED light bulb. I don't know the actual threshold needed to overcome the problem. The only reliable solution is to use outputs 4 and 8 which have mechanical relays that work reliably regardless of the load on the output.

Another solution is to use the EB4 which uses all mechanical relays. Or if you have a current model Apex 2016 or Apex-EL, then you can use the EB832 which also has all mechanical relays.

Watching, I'm curious on the solution to this. Just saw that the BRS dosers are 120vac powered.

Have you considered a typical wifi power strip with on/off capabilities to handle the dosers? I use a kasa setup for some extra outlets that don't need apex control, yet I like to have the ability to turn off/on remotely. They work great and in a power outage, they defer to an off state.

I am heavily invested into apex and really really love the Intergration of everything into 1 app. With that being said my dad is an electrician and gunna run this by him to see if he has any ideas for cheap resistors to run inline or something and I will post the info back here

Any ideas what relays are used in the new UK EB632?
The EB632 uses all mechanical relays, just like the EB832. I think Neptune learned their lesson with solid-state relays causing problems on older models.

Thanks buddy, you are a true fountain of knowledge and an excellent person for giving so much time to us lot. :D
Now if only I could find a EB632UK without having to buy another EL lol.
