Outside air for skimmer. Expected results?

Just a FYI. Make sure your local government office is not spraying for insects with a fogger. I had my line outside, my tank had great PH. But also the system was slowly dying off. I took me a while to figure out what was causing the dye off. Once I did, I moved the airline up into the attic. Problem solved

One should also look a using a carbon scrubber to keep the pure of contaminates from outside.
 
Did this because my PH was 7.7. After 2 days of skimmer pulling Air from outside, my pH is still 7.7 :( My alkalinity is 8.3… What to do ?
Just to update on what helped me/what my issue was.
My skimmer was simple a bit under sized, and my testing with a long hose to the outside had little to no results. Bottom line: skimmer is not running enough fresh air, to compensate for the gas exchange happening with the inside air.
I have since switch to a much bigger skimmer and a CO2 scrubber and Ph is pretty good now:
