What up reefers. My 220 Tank has been doing great after my cyano episode some time ago. I have a strong urge to add more fish to the tank. Wanted your take if the tank looks crowded and should I quit while ahead. I want to add additional fish but thinking it's too much at this point. See photos and video.

I have the following fish in there:
Vlamingii tang - 10 Inches
Power Brown Tang - 1.5
Purple Tang - 5 inches
Hippo Tang - 4 inches
2 Clown Fish - 2 inches and 1 inch
Parrot Fish - 4 inches
Foxface - 1.5 inch
SquirrelFish Red Soldier - 4 inches
Blue Jaw Golby - 1 inch
Yellow Golby - 1 inch
Green Chromis - half inch
2 Anthias - 1.5 inches and 1 inch

I wouldn't call it overcrowded... but of course it's heading in that direction, no? (Aren't we always with our tanks.) I think there are two camps: The people who love that 'Wow! a Million fish swirling in every conceivable direction' look, and then what I tend to prefer... the ability to watch each individual fish a little longer, without losing it in the crowd. So it's heavily a matter of preference.

Love this! Lol. I'm the one who wants a million fish! Trying to relax with the fish. I may get a mandarin to add but something that is use to the bottom of the tank. Thanks for the reply.

It's not the size they are now that matters. You should be thinking about the full grown size of your fish. You have several that are going to get a fair bit bigger.
Good point! Makes so much sense.

I think you could probably add 1 or 2 more small to medium sizes fish. The reason I commented though is your background, I haven’t seen that background in probably 20 years, I had that exact one on my first 55 gallon fresh water tank (used the reversible fw side though). Brings back some memories, lol.

that tang is a hog! wow.. 10 inches .. One day i'll be in the 200 gallon class
Yes. That tang I have had for about 6 years now. Very peaceful in the tank but when food drops in, it’s takes on another level of dominance. The seaweed strip last for about 20 to 30 seconds. Lol

Thanks! This background came with the tank. I grabbed this tank about 3 years ago from someone on Craigs List. I was going to remove it originally but I was afraid of damaging the tank. So I kept it. All that live rock against the back had been good so far. See attached photo of before......

I agree with this. Wait two years and ask the question again. That fox face will grown quick as well as the regal tang and your tank will be a lot more fish heavy.
