Ok guys question for yah I'm curious to how much people feed there tanks reef tanks that is?mine is a sca 120 overstocked with fish and corals 14 fish 4 gangs foxface, and wrasses I feed 3 cubes a day reefroids and also about to put reef fuel on a doser I run an algae scrubber only and a filter sock no skimmer.
Tank pars: 0 n03, 0 p04,8 dkh,cal 450

Those zeros for NO3 and Phosphorus are pretty low for that many fish and cubes. Are your corals growing? Algae?
If your coral is growing and you don't have algae your tank is totally dialed in.

My fish grow when my wife feeds, and the corals get brighter. I have 5 fish in the main tank and I feed 2 cubes per day, or less.

Just a little algae but it's not spreading or growing the fish actually eat it the 4 range I have I'll show a picture of my tank.

I feed pellets 3 times a day on auto feeder, and a big chunk of frozen food twice a day.

Never see any swings in nitrates or anything. Tank is 190g and 4 years old

Five foot tank and 21 fish, so pretty much overstocked. 2 cubes 3-4 times a day to keep the anthias happy.

A few times a week I'll also make a mix of Reef Roids / Reef Chili / Oyster Feast and dose the tank.

Male Gladiator Clown
Yellow Tang
Fijian Blenny
Kauderns Cardinal (Pair)
Court Jest Goby (Pair)
Helfrici Firefish (Pair)
Hawaiian Flame Wrasse (Male)
Lyretail Anthias (Trio)
Carberryi Anthias ( Females x2)
Bartletts Anthias (Females x2)
Borbonius Anthias (Pair)
Blue Chromis (Pair)

Awesome

I feed my 10 gallon mixed reef stocked with 2 clowns, a small pinch of nls pellets 2x a day, a pinch of reef roids once, and a small chunk of rods food once. This keeps no3 around 20 or so and po4 below 0.1. I see people occasionally complain about issues with reef roids but I found it too clean. I couldn't dirty up my tank using just it when I wanted to.

Before that I was feeding much less and my tank was never really thriving, then nutrients bottomed out and dinos hit.

Awesome thanks for joining my discussion.

Yup, today is Sunday and the fish have all been good. I think I'll go melt a few cubes, toss in some extra shrimp & salmon, and even some frozen plankton (extra for the corals) to give everyone in the system a nice treat.

Thanks for the reminder.
