I have a 300g tank and need a little help. My over flow box has come unbounded. So when the power goes off the sump over flows. Can fix this with superglue? Or does someone have a better solution.

Picture would help us to recommend a course of action.

It's a little hard to make out due to the box and back are blue. Also note the water level. Usealy the top of the water can't be seen. image.jpeg

the issue is the tank is full, if the box goes all the way down to the bottom I will recommend RTV108 but, if it's just a "floating" style box it's going to be very hard either way to fix without emptying the tank. again, either way you're going to have to consider emptying it low enough to be able to reseal it. we are talking 300 gallons of water and that's no small amount if it ends up on the floor.

Yes it goes all the way to the bottom of the tank and is not a floating box. Where can I get rtv108? I do plan to empty the tank I thank I can do a better job that way.

is the silicon black or clear?

either way, the 108 is clear and the 103 is black...
allow full cure time before refilling 7day to 2weeks...

Ok I'll try that. Thanks for your help. I'm new to this site it was nice to get a response so quick. Thanks again.

we are talking glass tank, right?

weldon 16

you might not have to drain the tank fully, that stuff is made thicker to fill in gaps.

and cure to get 80% STRENGTH Weld-on 16 will take 16 hours.

also once you apply the weldon clamp it in place, careful not to over-clamp and squeeze the soften acrylic and glue out of the seam.
