Over heated water

I was mixing water for my reef tank and the heater malfunction and did not turn off and the water got up to some where between 95 and 100.Is the water still good to use when it cools down?Also there is a smell from the water like the heater shorted out.

I wouldn't. Its crappy u have to remix but if it did short you donf want anything that could.be in.the.water in ur display. Just toss it
