Welcome to the group. I would say by asking you know the answer. Let’s see the opinions that we get.

Let us know if you have question.

A standard 55 Gallon is 48" long x 12" wide x 21" tall. The Blue Tang could get up to 12 ", the Sailfin up to 16", the Yellow Tang up to 8", the Spanish Hog Fish 10" and I don't see a Brown Tang, but I assume that fish closest to the magnetic glass cleaner will get pretty big as well. A 55 gallon tank is not suitable for any of those fish. The only fish on your list that a 55 gallon tank is suitable for are the Oscellaris, the Damsels and the Cardinal. So to answer your question...Yes it is overstocked. Not because there are too many fish, but because the fish you chose get way too big for that tank.

How long have you had the blue tang?
How long have you had the yellow tang?
How long have you had the Spanish hogfish?
How long have you had the sailfin tang?

They look fine for now, but lots of people do not like to keep these fish in such a small system since the fish can get too big for the tank.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

1st of all welcome to R2R!

beautiful fish and tank but as others have said they do need a bigger tank. I would think about a big upgrade to a 150 to 240 gal tank (5 to 8 feet) or re-home them and get fish more suitable for the 55.

no shame in finding good homes for fish we cant keep and we all cant have large aquariums. one must reef comfortably in there budget.
all tho you would be surprised at the deals you can find on larger systems. i once gave away a 240 gallon system with 3 month old lighting.

dont take it personal if others fish ppl get upset can say not nice things. they mean the best, we all get passionate about the hobby we love.
feel free to ask question and talk things over there are tons of amazing ppl here.

wishing you and your tank/fishes the very best!

+1 on what everyone else said. None of those big 4 are suitable for your tank. Even if they dont reach their full size (which aquarium fish often dont)... still too big for a 55. They look lovely now though, but they also only look about a year or 2 old from what I can guess from pics. Contact your LFS or local reefers and see if you can trade or sell, and then get a variety of fish that will be happy and healthy long term in a 55. You dont want to wait until they are stressed from lack of space- they will get aggressive and sick. I have a yellow and a blue in my 220 and I may also find a better home for the blue if she tops out.
