So i am currently overdriving using a vue660 ballast. I would like to know why you cannot use a standard ho ballast to overdrive T5 bulbs for instance using the ballast made for the 80watt bulbs on the 45.8 bulbs?

Anyone know the answer to this? Or why can you bot use one 4ft ballast to drive one bulb just wire one bulb up to both channels.

You need to use a VHO ballast. Vue is the same as IceCap 660. Those are the ones that you need.

High output is 54w, Very High Output is 80w (ish).

You are basically doing VHO T5s.
