Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a bit of advice/suggestions for an overflow box. I looked into tunze and eshopps, but can't justify the $150-$200 price tag for a box with a hole in it.
I found one on ebay for a decent price, it's a Sea Side OFU-1. Has anyone here used one before?
It's rated up to 250g/ph which would suit my 20 gal nicely.
I haven't heard of that brand before so I'm a little apprehensive to purchase it without hearing from people more experienced than myself first.

Any input regarding that model, or a better suggestion would be much appreciated!

Thank you!

Why not pick up some glass and silicone and build your own? It's a cheap and simple solution.

I don't have personal experiences but have read a few threads where people said good things about them. Not a lot of technology in an overflow and not complicated to build so in this case eBay items should be fine. You can always redo the pipes inside them if they are noises or you don't like flow. Also if you don't already check classifieds over at nano-reef someone always seems to be selling one on there cheap enough

I don't really have the means to build one at the moment. Plus glass is so expensive in my area, it'd be around the same price as buying a factory made one haha.

Does anyone have an opinion on an overflow box vs DIY PVC overflows?
