Overflow Box Removal

Hello,

Would it be possible to remove a DIY overflow box like the picture below without screwing with the silicone holding the tank together? I have an overflow box very similar to this photo and I am hoping to remove it, but do not want to puncture the aquarium silicone. Let me know. Thanks

Yes get a razor blade and scrape off the silicone connecting the overflow box to the glass. Take your time. Then scrape between the glass and the overflow box but don't apply too much pressure. Shouldn't be too hard
