Recently bought a used 210 gallon Aqueon and the previous owner removed the left overflow box. He wanted to do a closed loop but I prefer to have the drain and return. Is there a way to replace it or make a new one on the cheap? Called Aqueon and lfs and they've all said I'm out of luck. Any ideas

If you don't mind not having a curved overflow box you could always cut two pieces of 1/4" acrylic to form a square overflow box and silicone it in place. Otherwise you may want to look around for somebody to make a custom overflow for you.

Yes it is drilled and not a corner overflow. It's one of two rear overflows (left side). Didn't want to spend a ton to fix

Shouldn't be too hate to remedy.
Glass or acrylic, make a box same size as the other, add teeth, silicone in place.
I realize silicone isn't intended for bonding/adhering acrylic, but I would probably use a bead inside and outside to hold it in place.

Contacted Aqueon and was told they don't sell or offer replacements. Only suggestion they had was buy another tank

H20 overflow you can use 2 1200 gph each

How did this go? I'm looking to make mine square out of black acrylic.. but not sure how important the double wall design with weir/slots halfway up is. the curved rough texture design is impossible to scrape clean and if you get the smallest briopsis itvwill root in the texture and the only way to get off is drain whole tank & peroxide scrub.. & hope none attaches everrr again. I'm not relying on that. Square & smooth.
