Hello

I have a 110 gallon tank with a 75 gallon sump that I have been running for 6 months. The tank is going well but I’m not happy with the water flow through the sump. Is there a way to increase the efficiency of the overflow box? Or is there one that you guys would recommend? I’m not able too switch to a drilled tank no matter how much I wish that’s what I had.

Thank you

You can only increase the overflow/output by increasing the input from return pump.

For more flow in my sump, I use a small powerhead in the refugium section where macro-algae is.

I agree with you, except I tried to increase the size of my pump and all I managed was to drain my sump. I thought I understood how this works but I must have something wrong. Could I have a problem with my syphon?

Not sure. If return pump pushes in more than goes down overflow, then your tank will spill over onto the floor. Has that happened? If not, then you may need more water in sump. How full is sump when return pump is off?

Plumbing is important avoid 90 degree angles, make sure the return is clean God only knows how those snell's get to the snell grave yard but they always end up in the oddest places. Air flow is important too. If air can't get into the system everything becomes pressurized it's real bad.
