If you can't drill your tank, I suggest you get a Tidal Filter that hangs on the back. I have a couple in different sizes and they work very well.

I don't know what you have but I upgraded from a 29 gal with canister to my 40 breeder/20 gal sump system recently. It can be a chunk of change to spend depending on what you get.

Just wanting to try something new. I don't like the bulky hoses. I would keep the canister if I could find a way to incorporate these intake tubes and find some different clear tubing

I see, they can be a bother for sure. Have you tried looking at adapters for fitting up from tube to those intake lines?

There are really only four ways to do it, I think. An internal filter (don't recommend), the hang on back filter, canister or plumb to a sump. I have been impressed with the stuff my Reef Octopus skimmer pulls out of the water. And that is after it goes thru a sock with filter padding. Having a sump gets most everything off sitting on the tank.

So I have the same tank you have on your build thread just different dimensions. I didn't know it could be drilled. Did you drill yourself?

No I'm not sure what to do lol maybe you could help me.

I paid a LFS to drill it - $25/ hole. You need to make sure it is non-tempered glass otherwise it will shatter.
