Ok I got a used sump 10 gallons with a eshopps 300 overflow and a ecoplus pump

I am using 1"id tubing for downspout

It is making noises. Almost looks like water is flowing out faster than the u tube thing can siphon it in

Do you think using a smaller diameter tube on the down spout will fix it? Maybe a ball valve over both the down tube and return lines?

I'm new to overflows

It has a piece of pvc in the downtube chamber along with a foam filter

Build a Stockman standpipe inside the overflow box and it will properly mix air and water for a smooth flow and be very quiet.
You might also search "Maggie Muffler" which is essentially the same thing as the Stockman. The Maggie will cost you $15-$20, the Stockman can be built with $5 in PVC parts and 30 minutes time.

Look up Hoffer gurgle buster as well. I have a pair of these on my 180. they are dead silent.

Ok thanks. I'm going to do this in the very near future. I just decided to hold off on sump and redo the baffles. I was getting a lot of bubbles and there were only two baffles that allowed water over them, no under baffles to catch bubbles so im going to do it right
