Like the title says, where did you place your overflow? I am drilling next weekend and haven’t decided if I want to place the overflow on the back left side or the middle.

40g breeder and a 1200gph Modular marine overflow.

Convince me of either but add why

Thanks!

What kind of overflow, how is the tank setup for viewing?

40g breeder, standard viewing against a wall. I have a 1200gph modular marine overflow. On another tank I have I drilled and Eshopps M on the left side but now I’ve been debating if I should go with that placement again.

I always like dead center or peninsula end for aesthetics. On my 125 I went back and offset toward the end because I wanted easier access against the wall.

That does look really nice! Like a really clean install look! I was leaning towards the middle but haven’t committed. I didn’t know if it would make any difference skimming the tank.

Thanks! I dont think it makes much of a difference for functionality, just aesthetics and practicality.
