Overflow plumbing

I have a Varios8 pushing water into my tank. Nice powerful and quiet pump. The problem i have is I can't run it higher than 26% without my drain lines gurgling SUPER LOUD. The lines are 1.25 inch with Maggie Mufflers on each. There are overflows with independent drains in each corner. Are there any suggestions?

Lower one so it runs as a full siphon. For the second on put a 45 degree angled fitting on the end. i like to clean up the inside with a Dremel so it flows smoothly. I also taper the pipe it fits onto, again for smooth flow into the pipe. I like to do this as then it is not fussy (IE noisy) about how much flow I have at any given time.
it really sounds like your drains are not big enough for the flow your trying to put through them. if possible enlarge them. if not make sure they are as free flowing as possible. I would also make sure they can not get clogged. it sounds like if one were to become partly blocked you could easily be in for a flood.

I don't see any way to enlarge them, to be honest. The bulkheads are at 1.25 and I couldn't go any larger. I can get a lot more flow through them if I could tolerate the noise. At 60% it still drains as fast as the pump pushes water but it's louder than Hades. If your siphon idea eliminates the noise i might be OK.
