Overflow question

If you’re referring to the durso drain pipe that slips into the bulkhead then yes. Only thing to take note of is your overflow box will drain to the bottom. Causing sump level to rise.

Awesome thanks for the tip! That’s exactly what I was looking to know!

Yep and a long handled round brush kinda like a large bottle brush works great for cleaning them. I got one from Walmart near the mops and brooms for around $5 and tied a thin rope to it so I could drop the rope through and pull the brush through the pipes to clean them while running water. Works like a charm, I use the same brush to clean my skimmer neck.

I have a standard overflow in my 90 gal tank. My question is can I remove the pvc for cleaning?

In addition to the helpful advice in the posts above, if the PVC seems to be stuck then don't get too aggressive when attempting to remove it. Take your time and be intentional. A good rule of thumb is - be safe and try not to break things! :)
