I have several cracks in one side of my overflow i need to repair
hate to tear the tank down just for the repair. So the plain i have
come up with is to draw the tank down about 1/2 way. drain the overflow and have a piece of glass cut to go inside of it and cover the new glass in
silicone and plaster it to the old glass and seal the edges.

Whit do you thank will it work ??????????????

Why not just use Aqua Stick coral putty over the cracks if they are leaking then you don't need to drain it down or use anything harmful.

That mitt work but the pain has several cracks and figured the
extra glass will give more support. If it ever brakes it will
run my sump over. And im afraid the wife will kill me LOL

this will work just fine.. not very nice looking but since it is in the over flow who cares.

PS: depending on where the crack is and size my opinion may change. post a pic or your problem and a mock up of your solution and i can give a more certian answer

With a glass overflow it should work fine. But watch where the cracked glass attaches to the rest of the tank. Your band aid might not help in those areas.
