If you were me you'd go bigger though correct? Like a skimmer bigger the better? If you can find it then all you need is the syphon utube.
Loud is an understatement. Mine never breaks siphon (I use a pf-800) but I've considered cutting a cover to muffle the noise because it sounds like a waterfall in my living room.It seems to have alot of bad reviews about being really loud and getting air in the u tube causing it to break siphon. Maybe someone here uses one and can chime in.
If it was me I would drill it. If your not comfortable with drilling you should try and find a fish store in your area and call and ask how much they would charge you to drill it.
I would go with this one. Do you know anyone local that has aquariums. I'm sure they would be happy to drill it for you. The diamond drill bit is even included.

I may know someone comfortable to take the risk. :/ Loud is an understatement. Mine never breaks siphon (I use a pf-800) but I've considered cutting a cover to muffle the noise because it sounds like a waterfall in my living room.
Mine is silent compared to that, wow that is horrible. I've tried using a standpipe but it slows the flow too much :/ I honestly believe if I just cut myself a cover it would be pretty much inaudible.Fix to the noise for the PF800...
and if you go with

Call the glass shops in your area and ask if they can drill your tank, get a price quote. Usually around 20 bucks a hole.
This would solve the noise and siphon break problem. One hole for the overflow, one for the return.
I would call around any glass shops and ask them. Drilling glass really is easy. You Just have to take your time and let the bit do all the work. Meaning no pressure and keep the bit cool with water.
