Hello all,

Just doing some tank maintenance and locating a missing goby and I noticed a strainer in my overflow (found my goby btw lol). I purchased this tank from another reefer awhile back and for some reason never noticed a strainer attached to the bulkhead. Question is, I'm wondering A) if it is indeed a strainer. It's about 7" long and leaves about 2" of water sitting in the bottom of the overflow where the bulkhead juts out. And B) what kind aka slip or threaded. If anyone knows who makes it, even better.
It's hard for me to tell because of my height and limited accessibility of where it's at. My tank is 65g and fairly tall. I can't reach the bottom of the sump to pull it out and flush the goby so I have to wait till the BF comes home to lend me his long arms hehe. Ive also been planning on getting/building a durso stand pipe to eliminate some of the overflow noise for a few months now. I figure why not do it while I'm making a scene of this and taking apart my canopy to rescue this dang goby. So now I just need to get the strainer out of the way and find out if my bulkhead is threaded or not...

I've attached pictures to see if someone might recognize it. Hopefully they are clear enough. The rear glass is blackout so no rear shots unfortunately.

You should be able to just pull out that strainer and have water flushing the fish out through the line. Just make sure your hose is going into a bucket.
