Overkill...???

Hello, everyone.... Just a quick question... Im going to be setting up a 55g Hex, Reef soon I hope... It will be standing about 6' from the sump to the top of the tank... Would a Ecotech Vortex M1 be overkill?

Really?? I always liked the 3" sand floors... What are the benefits to a bare bottom tank?

No dust storm with the sand and that kind of flow.

When I had my 55g long, I had a 3-4 inch crushed argonite bed and never had any issues with dust storms... Are there any scientific beneficial elements for tanks due to not having sand?
