So about 3 weeks ago my file fish disappeared. Last night I was looking in while the blue lights were on my damsel was in his little den, but he looked like he was on his side and one of my hermit crabs was next to him, I kind of guessed he was dead. Woke up this morning and my daughter told me my blue fish was dead, nbd, kind of guessed that, but then found BOTH of my blue damsels dead!!! My other damsel, my 2 clownfish, and my wrasse are all fine and my tank is stable. I have had them for over a year and have not added anything to the tank recently. What the heck is going on? What should I do?

What is your salinity? Are you SURE your test kit is accurate? If I were you, I would take a water sample to my lfs and have it tested just to be sure your kit isnt wrong. Ive had fish die suddenly when I thought everything was finem it turned out my hydrometer was WAY off amd my salinity was 1.032! Ive also has fish die due to low ph. It kind of suffocates the fish when its too low. Thats what my lfs said.

Were the fins torn or any damage to their bodies? Had you noticed any white spots on the fish beforehand?
