Overnight Disaster!!!

Skimmer is typically optional at startup.....if this were a functioning tank with livestock, I'd say turn it up to wetter foam.

I wouldn't do anything at the moment though....just let it run, or kill power to the pump until you get some livestock. Then the tuning can start in earnest! :)

When the time does come for tuning, be sure to make SMALL tuning adjustments ONLY based on skimmate quality and quantity.

NOT based on current performance while you're making the adjustment.

Do you have a drain near the sump or can you pipe a run to the drain?

Is this related somehow? I noticed the water supply line to the rodi was sweating. I figured there was a small leak and I'd fix it...no big deal. Looking in the fish room, I notice all the cooper fittings have sweat on them on the cold water line. Is this related to the amount of water on the floor and in fish tank??

This +1

A skimmer really needs to run a week or so before you can dial it in. This is a great time to do it. Just let it run and worry about trying to dial it in later.

Yup, just normal condensation from the high humidity due to the tank and the spill.

Good. I also added a whole house humidifier in thursday so that may have something to do with it

Holy moly is looks like your supply line has an epoxy patch on that Ell! Maybe it's fine for long term, but I would replace that with a correctly installed fitting for my peace of mind.

The sweating is just from the ultra-cold water running through it for an extended time while the RO runs.

(Not just the RO running...didn't mean to really be that specific. Anything that runs the cold water for an extended period!)

Also the condensation was from the rodi running for days. Shut it off since I have 45 gallons of rodi water ready for the first water change. All is good now. Not gunna be able to sleep just thinking about the ato actually being plugged in this time, but I don't think anything will happen. Been plugged in for over an hour and no water coming from black tube and water level even. I did test it a few times

Update: woke up this morning with 0 problems at all. @Fin had the perfect solution and it's flawless for me!! As I was downstairs checking things out, the ato actually activated and boom...perfect!! No siphon worries. Thank you for all the suggestions and support. Next headache to deal with?...apex programming and water testing here I come

Glad it worked out for you.

Haha. Poor Falcons! That was a great game

Nice. Awesome idea. I'm not sure why I never thought of that. Is that romex wires just chilling next to your sump?
