Overstock/Compatibility Question

Hi all,

I had a question if the following would work in a 20g Long tank or if it is being overstocked?

- Pair of clownfish
- Sharknose Goby
- Midas Blenny
- Court Jester
- Peppermint Shrimp
- Cleaner Shrimp

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

Depends on your level of filtration and whether you run a skimmer, refugium, etc. Can it work? Yes. Will it work with your setup? Probably - but without knowing any details that's about all I'd be able to guesstimate.

Currently running an AIO, no skimmer, but refugium with chaeto

I was thinking it might get too tight and the midas or clownfish can get aggressive given that it is a 20g long.

Should be fine. Just keep up with water changes and ensure periodic testing of nitrates and phosphates. I had a midas in my 25-gallon; he spent the whole time (and still does) in a barnacle.

Put them in the correct order, most docile to most aggressive.
Give some time between each.
You have five fish, I don’t count the shrimps.

I’d say 20 is too small for a Midas. Swap that for a tailspot or some other small blenny and you should be good!
