Yah its sad. There is an ad on craigslist here, guy has a 45gal tank with a naso tang, 2 blue tangs, a yellow tang, and some clowns.

Wow. Thats a lot of fish but you have to admit that they all look healthy..
I know they look very good actually. In the comment section, I wished the guy luck, but told him he should consider an upgrade to at least a 210 gallon tank. I have a little 2" niger trgger, and he pretty much roams the whole 40 breeder frag tank he is being qted in, imagine a 9" one with a 10" + clown trigger in a 120 gallon tank.

I think its sad he filed the clown triggers teeth to keep it from biting fish/coral. That just sounds mean

I dont think overstocked is really the term for the tank.More like insanely packed with fish that should never be in that size aquarium. They do look health though but a lot of those fish still have some growing to do.

He did WHAT! I did not read that part, but that is just horrible. Now I am mad at him, wayyyyyy more than before!

I disagree :) the selection of fish, the feeding (denitrator etc) looks like he knows what he is doing, anyway just because some people say for a yellow tang you need xxxx gallons is meaningless because in nature they need an 8' diameter minimum for their territory, come on tree huggers cheer up :) we all have glass cages :)

13" clown trigger, and a 9" niger, along with 2 hippos and a yellow, an eel, an emporer angelfish, a flaome angel, and MORE?! tree hugger or not big fishies don't belong in little tanks with no turning room

Im going to also say this is very cruel. These fish are never going to grow to their potential size because of how small of a tank he has. I want to blame a part on the LFS. Certain LFS dont care where their fish end up and when asked will say its okay to put certain fish in certain sized tanks.

LOL "tree huggers". My opinion. Yeah I think too much fish (large/small) in that tank. that's definitely a "stacked territory". Video was made 4 years ago and I hope this person has gotten a larger tank to house such a beautiful collection of fish.

Many people would say my tank is over stocked for a 90 with 13 fish so I wont judge but, it sure does make me feel better about my tank.

Despite all the hate those miserable fish look pretty fat and happy.
I agree LOL whoever has the tank takes care of them, one thing i don't like is pointing the finger too fast and being judgmental, come on look at the fish they are healthy, what else ?

For those that are so humane, and kind, and love fish so much........... simply making a statement. Did you know most fish caught sit in a bucket for a day at the beach, after shipped in some chemical solution to another country, arriving at the airport and shipped again to some distributor, shipped again to a retailer and shipped again to your fish tank. Lets think whats the mortality rate ? 50% ? 80 % let me tall ya some times 90% and with certain species like lets say Moorish Idelle close to 100%. If you belong to this hobby and buy fish don't be so sensitive, thats all i am going to say and not take this any further. And i do agree the tank is too small, but don't make it sound like you got emotional over it, think first. Its all good fellas, everyone is entitled to their opinion and so em I.

Do you have emergency backup ?
Do you keep saltwater for emergency use?
Do you quarantine your fish?

Think :)

To add to this, we all here love our fish, corals, nature .............. but by many we are all considered cruel to fish, there was a speaker in MAGNA that is a specialist in fish, but a secret tree hugger :) she took the mike and let all of them have it, from what i was told it was hilarious :) Anyway anemone keeper its all good my friend :)

Yes, but it is your responsibility as their owner to make them happy, not continue the viscous cycle
