I have a 55 GB with a 15 gallon bassea sump and was wondering if I’ve overstocked this tank?

1Starry blenny about 5-6 in
4 starry gobies
1 possum wrasse about 3 in
1 orchid dottyback
1 Lightning maroon clown 3in
1 bangai cardinal
1 filefish about 3 in
1 mocha clown about 3in
1 Ocellaris clown about 4in
My mocha and ocellaris are a couple

4 bubble nems, I had two but they’ve split into 2

1 true carpet

1 mini maxima

3 Turbo snails
4 nerite snails
A couple of bumble bee snails
a couple of tiny bristle starfish
A couple of Nassarius snails
2starfish: sand sifting starfish and pink tile
1 long spike sea urchin
1 fire shrimp

The tank is technically 2.5 years old and it has a steady population of tiger pods.
My corals and fish have been happy and there’s never been any aggression. I was just wondering this morning after thinking of adding another possum wrasse but I wanted to check here prior to any other additions. TIA!

When I started reading your post, initially I thought that you are overstocking your tank, but than if everything is going well, your nutrients are in check, fish and coral happy, then maybe not.
Would I push my luck? Probably not.

I think the tank will answer your question eventually. If you ever start finding dead fish, or if a disease breaks out in the tank, then you will know you were overstocked.

If everything is happy and lives for years, then its not overstocked.

As you mention, everything seems happy now, but you seem like you want to keep pushing for that one more fish

I agree with full but with the caveat that you should probably find that maroon a new home, and if you do you likely could replace it with a different medium sized fish
Since my McQueen hasn’t shown any aggression, I never thought that he’d still go berserk. When do you recommend me to rehome ?

I’ll have to rehome my filefish soon, he just now started nipping on my lobo do you think I could add 2 possums since they’re tiny?

I’m not really pushing for it. It was more of a thought
