Overwhelmed with information but really wanting to learn!

I just upgraded to a 30 gallon AIO (haven't even started cycling yet) from a little fluval evo that I really just kept fish in until I accidentally crashed it, I am hoping to grow a nice little reef one day but I am sooo confused!

I am seeing conflicting information for just about everything you can ask a question about.

Where would y'all steer me for information on;
Flow rate
Lighting
Reef Perimeters

any books, blogs, etc. would be so awesome! Especially if it is someone using a 30 gallon tall tank (I am very visual personal and putting myself in someone's shoes and kind of copying would help a lot while I learn)

Sorry for the random rant, I am just so overwhelmed by information and want to be successful at this.

Can be overwhelming! Think of the animals you want to keep. What kind of coral you want? What fish that will fit in a 30 ? Decide on those 2 things first.

Natural sea water is what I shoot for on most parameters. Light and flow is very coral dependent.
