Oxygen

i have a 120 tank with 30 gallon sump. I am wondering about oxygen in water. Does the return pump and the power heads I have going create enough oxygen?

I have a 30 gallon qt and they told me to put air stone in for better oxygen. Why would I need that in a qt but not in DT?

I'm sure you're fine. Most of the time a sump will do the trick, add powerheads, and a skimmer and you're in business many magnitudes. If you want to be extra safe, adjust the powerheads to slightly break the surface

Yes most reefs have enough turbulence at the surfaces to have plenty of oxygen. A QT has very little surface or turbulence.
