I've got quite a few lps in my system. Unfortunately, i've got a really deep tank and it's a real challenge to feed each of them individually. Will lps such as meat corals, lobos, acans and chalices benefit from the feeding of oyster feast?

Yes. When I fed oyster feast my chalice favia duncan and paly would feed.

Cyclopeze works well too

OysterFeast is more for softies and possibly some SPS. The smell will get the LPS attention, but probably too small for many to eat. I'd stick with mysis and cyclopeeze.

Why pay for O/F when you can make your own and drop your N03 & P04 plus feed your corals EXACTLY what they need for under $25 for over a years supply. If you want to know how let me know. IT'S FREE OF CHARGE w/ NO STRINGS.

Go easy on the oyster-feast - hydroids seem to thrive on the stuff.
Cyclops are good but nutri-mar ova (shrimp eggs) seems to get the best response all around in my tanks.

If it is "Free of charge, with no strings" then please post your instructions in the thread, rather then asking for a PM. -Thank You.

Hi,
tell me more about this.
thanks,

First are there any Asian market by you? The reason is that you'll find Freasher, lower priced iteams their than in a regular store.
Read ALL packages for added chemicals, you want as raw and unprocessed as you can find.
1) raw fresh clams and clam eggs (removed from shell)
2) raw fresh Oysters (removed from shell)
3) raw shrimp without shell ( de-veined doesn't matter)
4) raw fresh non farmed salmon ( I live in the NW Washington so cought mine)

CHEMICALS TO ADD

I use Brightwells but if you have a favorite it's up to you
For a 16oz bottle I use:
Vitamin C,
Vitamin M
Power Garlic
Power Amino

Making process:
1/2 cup of each of the sea food above
1ml of each of the chemicals stated above.

I have a Ninja small blender thought I bought new from Target for $19. I add ALL the raw foods at once, then add the chemicals after each blender session (each blender session is 1min, then I remove the lid and add ONE of the chemicals) which I blend the who this for 10min or till it's a purée.

You can blender less and leave larger chunks if you want, I don't have many softies so I purée mine. I also turn my power heads to low to allow MAXIUM feeding without over feeding. I feed only once a day about 30min before my lights go out so that ALL corals can eat. Then I turn my power heads back up after a hour and a half.

I've had great growth with no hair or cyano outbreaks. I've had a increase in bubble algae but my two emerald crabs make fast work.

Start up price (if you don't have equipment and chemicals) $100. After that $25-34 dollars every 1-2years compared to the price the Oyster or Phyto Feast will cost you. Oh it will probably be less because I make my own food also and that's part of that price, so you can reduce that by $10-$8 dollars for food.

Let me know if this is clear or not ok.

I'll normally PM the ones who are interested, I've found Sponsers can sometimes be nasty when they she a response like mine but it's posted above for those who are interested.

The only reason I could see a sponsor getting upset is if you were to make an unsubstantiated claim, comparing your recipe to Oyster Feast, or another marketed brand. Your recipe is very similar to many recipes that can be found on the web, many found here on R2R. DIY fish food/coral food can be an inexpensive alternative.

My typical recipe consists of:

Oyster
Shrimp
Scallops
Squid/Octopus
Nori
Flesh from any white meated SW fish
Silversides
Selcon

How do you feed? With a squirt bottle?
How do you store it?
Freeze or just refrigerator?

I make it in 8oz amounts this will last me one week (7days). I have a 75gal SPS and a 34gal LPS, the 75 gets a cup and a half a day and he 34 gets a half a cap. To be neater You could fill a cap and then use a suringe to get the amount. Ive found freezing causes clumping of the mixture which for me creates extra work compared to storing in the fridge. Thus is why I only make weekly amounts. Plus this is FRESH with very little preserves so the shelf life decreases. I'm sure there might be other delivery and storage suggestions.

Mfinn I noticed that our local, send me a pm I'm only 15min away from Oylmpia.
