Can anyone confirm if this is an oyster? I got this frag from a fragging workshop sponsored by our local marine society last weekend. I noticed this dark spot on the side of the acropora but figured it was some sort of algae or other blemish. This week, it started opening up and definitely looks like some sort of filter feeder mollusk. When I touch the shell, it closes up deliberately. It survived the fragging, a post frag iodine dip, sitting out of the water for a good 10-30 minutes while being bagged and tagged and my own Coral MD Pro dip at home. Not worried about it, just curious. If this thing grows fast, I may end up fragging the tips off of this acropora and leaving the main stalk where it is. I'll also mention the colonies were imported from Indonesia if that helps
