Got some live rock from AC and it has several "oyster" on it. That is what I am guessing it is anyways. Does anybody have experience with these as far as care goes. I count five anyways. Hopefully they won't be a problem.

Can't really tell from the picture but cleaner clams are a common hitchhiker on live rock. There kinda the color of the rock and smooth body. If there white with spines at the opening there scallops not bad eather way helps clean your tank unless it's a new very clean tank with not a lot of flow in witch case some may die

They are about the same color as the rock and smooth. Tank has been running for many years.

Probably a turkey wing clam. They are very common on live rock.

Turkey wing it is after looking at pictures. Thanks so much for the help everyone. Guess they can stay.

The only problem I have had from them was if I accidentally stack some rock on top of one. They will move and topple the rock work.

I will keep that in mind. Thanks. Is there any spot feeding required or do they filter feed enough to survive.

I never have fed them but mine have always died over time.

I have 5 or 6 I never feed them. I always called then saltwater mussels. They are a good thing to have but as someone else mentioned they are stong and will knock things down if they are under rock.

I have 2 of these in my tank. They survived a full cycle in the beginning, and are still alive 3 years later.
