I spent some time updating my photo journal for the aquarium today and thought I'd share some of the shots. The system continues to mature nicely - corals are coloring up and growing well. I would still like to add some more fish and need to connect some of the automation equipment I have laying around (still dosing by hand), but overall it's looking good for such a young tank.
I recently purchased a life-size (1:1) Macro lens (Olympus 60mm f2.8) and have been experimenting with it. I didn't get tight enough for many true macro shots, but love the close-focusing ability of this little lens!
First, some montipora frags and colonies
Rainbow (or Pokerstar?) Montipora colony

This Sunset Montipora is already pretty large and growing quickly!
Humble beginnings for this Season's Greetings Montipora
I LOVE M. setosa and have high hopes for this little frag
This little M. capricornus is a nuclear green color!
This Flower Petal monti is off to a good start... encrusted and starting to swirl up
A close up of the setosa polyps...
