Ozone and Refugiums

Should I be concerned about the ongoing health of the refugium (Chaeto) if it is in the chamber immediately following the skimmer where the ozone gets into?

That's exactly how I have mine set up. Ozone/skimmer >> cheato >> return.

I've been pulling out buckets of cheats every month.
