Picked up a inline ozone generator for washing clothes off amazon.

Been running it for a week now. Probably 12 loads through it already.

I can say this is a awesome purchase. It got smells out of my dogs blanket I couldn’t get out before, pillows to.

Biggest bonus is it run on cold water only and you do not need to use detergent.

Thought I would pass the info along for those interested.

How interesting!

I save all our reject water from the RO/DI and get about 30-40% of our wash done with it. I still use city water to rinse.

No filter on it. Kind of neat design. Has a 1000mg unit with a silver ion probe in it, suppose to last 1.5-2 years, probe is replaceable. Goes inline with you washer cold water line. Turns on when the water starts, turns off when the water stops. Has 2 setting, high 1000mg, low 500mg.

Ozone last around 30 minutes in water if I remember correctly. Cleans on the wash cycle and rise cycle. Very faint ozone smell when the laundry is taken out, very clean smelling.

Noticed no odor form the machine or discharge hose, no soar throat either.

I've been running around washing everything in the house. Im extremely happy with it. See how I feel about it in 6 months.

1 month update on the washing machine ozone.

Loving this thing. Been able to get dog smells out of blankets in 1 wash. Was never able to get them out before.

Pillows that were once white and had the dreaded yellow/orange sweat stains, come out white with no detergent.

Comforter which usually has blood on it (from my dogs chin, she has allergies mid/end of summer, come right out with 1 scoop of Oxi.

Tennis shoes come out real clean also.

Filter socks, come out white with no bleach.

Will post up with long term. No sure if the effects on the washing machine as of yet. No issues with any items put in the machine.

Surprisingly no ozone smell when running or draining. Clothes come out with a very slight hint of ozone, smells very clean.

They had 2 that had good reviews. This one which is 500mg
And the one I got that does 1000 or 500.

They may seem a little pricey but you won’t use hot water any more and no detergent. I add 1 scoop of oxi on super dirty/stained items. Spot spray works well too for single spots.

Super easy to install. Hook cold water hose from machine to it, hook hose off ozone to machine, plug in.

Interesting. I used to work in maintenance where we used ozone generators to get smoke/pet/other odors out of apartments... I'm going to look into this!
