So I got an ozone generator and it was working great and then all of a sudden my orp dropped and it was like I wasn’t running it. I opened it up and it looked like this.

Did my back syphon prevent or fail and it got wet or is this normal operation for ozone?

I did an ozone test on the water and it came back 0.0

I need to look at mine tomorrow, are you running it through your skimmer or do you have a reactor? Question 2 are you using an air pump or the skimmer air intake or a vacuum pump? I love mine I use the Avast Marine reactor I use sillica beads to dry my air.

I was using a skimmer and now using the avast marine reactor. Followed their instructions to the T. Using the air pump they suggested and the jump silica bead air dryer from BRS.

When I was using the skimmer it seemed my ORP shut up like a mad man. 275-380 in like 3 days. With the avast reactor having issues getting over 315 but that’s why I’m curious if maybe my generator got wet? Could have messed up the discharge cell. Curious to see what your cell looks like tomorrow.

If I get to it tomorrow I surely will take pictures, i don't watch my ORP a lot but if you do watch it make sure you calibrate your probe often. I am getting ready to travel on Monday so not sure I will get to it or not, it may wait till next weekend.

my main concern right now is if your ozone generator looks wet post the discharge cell. I am curious if somehow mine got wet and maybe stopped the discharge cell from working properly.

If you can do that. I would be eternally grateful.

Also you using Poseidon or enaly 200?

I just had a similar issue, my tank was starting to look a bit cloudy. I pulled the poseidon 200 off line and sure enough the corona discharge cell was rusted internally.

The electronics worked fine, but the cell needed to be replaced.

Turns out the runber inside kynar check valve was bo longer working and saltwater collected inside the cell.

Yours doesn't look as bad as mine but might be worth a look.

Mine is brand new so I hope it wouldn’t be that bad. . But yeah I will have to take a gander inside the cell.

Mine is the older version, I don't see the fuse on your CB.

Either way, it's fairly straightforward to test dc voltage to the board and ac voltage at the cell.

Maybe you can find information on line to test these... I didn't look. But the fastest way is to simply test voltage at the cell.

One probe on the cell, and one on the spade connecter that is on the CB that connects the single wire to the cell. Turn the knob and you'll watch it go from 0v to 30vac.

If that all checks out then I'd say your problem is either a bad cell or the air pump isn't adequately pushing air through the desiccant > ozone generator > ozone reactor.

If it were me, I'd rule out the generator and then start looking at the mechanics of the system.

Here's some good first step information

That does answer one question I had. If it got wet would it ruin the cell and it seems to clean it you flush it with water. So good news there.

I push rodi water through mine every month. I'm almost certain that my issue was saltwater and electrolysis don't do well inside that discharge cell.

I just discovered that avast marine makes a robust kynar check valve. I just ordered one today.

Ordered this. Maybe a higher quality is better.

Mine is dry, it does sit higher than the tank

What dryer you use?

I moved mine higher than the reactor and outside the tank. See if that helps things.
It is a BRS, really a RODI chamber filled with silicon beads that turn pink when they are wet. I have my Ozone generator and the dryer and the air pump in a cabinet and the reactor sits next to my sump.
