Hey everyone.

I was considering using ozone and was looking for the generators.
It seems as everything in the hobby if it says reef/marine it has at least an extra 0 on the end of the price.

I have been looking and found this

I'd just like to check that's it's the same thing ? Any input is appreciated

That is not what you want. I don't know how big your tank is but for about a 100 gallon tank I would run about 100MG/Hr of Ozone. I use it constantly and have for decades. Here in the States they run on 115 volts. You may need 220 where you live. This one is only 30mg/hr which is for a very small tank and I know nothing about this product nor do I endordse it. I am sure sponsors here sell Ozone Generators.

Thanks for the information.

My tank is 1000l 264 gallons
I'd be running the ozone from the profilux P4

I would get something that puts out about 200mg/hr or a little more

Its been 2 years. Do you still reccomend this ozonizer? So if i use my apex to turn it on and off would that work without touching the buttons?
The air pump in that one died. I use a much larger one now because my system grew larger by a lot.

All an ORP controller does is switch an outlet on and off. An Apex would do the same.

The one I use now is a Enaly 1KNT and I use a separate air pump.

If i buy that same one you use now for 150 gallons, can I dial it down to a safe level? Do you think you could make repairs on that yourself? Also does the skimmer suck from it?

I am not sure. How low it goes is never listed. Just the max output. I am applying ozone to 700 gallons now.
I pump air through it so it doesnt overheat if the skimmer is off. I do not rely on the skimmer to draw it in.
It is my understanding that none of the Chinese generators can be repaired because no parts are available.

Get the uv type ozone generator. Otherwise you have to worry about drying the air before ionizing.

Ah okay. Well, i went and bought it anyway the same one your using. Ill just set it to the lowest setting and use carbon on the exit of the skimmer. How long have you been using this one for?

I installed an Enaly 1KNT-24 ozone generator yesterday evening. I was using an Enaly OZX-300 but the air pump in it failed. I made a pump with an inlet/outlet that could be attached inline with the desiccator from a Whisper-40 I got at Petco. I measured it and it moves 1.6L/min. I then replumbed around the airpump inside the OZXC-300 through the cell and limped along with it until I could get the new generator here. Since I made a pump this one doesnt rely on venturi vacuum or an internal air pump to work.

S0 far I have used a Poseidon 200, Ultrazone 300, OZX-300 and the 1KNT. They produce 200, 300, 500 and 800 mg/hr of ozone.
Only the last 2 raised my ORP consistently above 300. The 1KNT can easily drive it to 500. I have limited it to 360 which I am measuring just above the return pumps so I know what is going in the tank.
I found a BRS video about ozone which validated what I deduced. The Milwaukee is doing its thing keeping there.

When the generator is busted I can tell stuff isn't as happy as it usually is.

Jabby, Stabby and Pokey got treats today. When they come to the top I give them veggie wafers.

Smooth sailing on the Appalachian Sea which is exactly how I like it.

The price has gone down a lot. I may get another and keep it for a spare.

Great. If i get 2 years out of it ill be happy. The last one i bought for hot tubs lasted 4 months before the cell got plugged with dust.

I use the ozotech Poseidon 200 with auto air dryer. From what I've read ozotech is the gold standard application for ozone.

I have one in a box in the fish room. Worked for a few months. Changed cell and it worked for a few months.
Got something else.

I was originally going to buy one from brs but id be paying nearly $500 cad for that which is unacceptable.

I got the ozonizer and I'm impressed. Did you use an inline particulate filter with the ozonizer to prevent dust? Curious if it needs it.
