Ok. arrived broken, but only cosmetic, so got it up and running while waiting on a replacement base.

Here is my question.....

I plugged it in to see the pumps work/fill the canisters, and water started spraying out of the small nozzle near the reactor’s recirculating pump. I hadn’t connected the Ozone generator. DUH!!!!

So, I dry run the ozone generator and the air pump...... I can feel air coming out of the ozone generator, I can smell a very strong smell from the ozone...... so I’m good to go right?!!

I connect the Ozone generator to the bottom of the reactor (check valve in place to keep from frying my generator) and I turn it all on........ It’s all running like a champ, etc etc.

My questions are these;

1) How do I know the air is even clearing the check valve and going all the way up the tube to the reactor?

2). Does the air need to go all the way to the bottom of the reactor, or is it fine/normal for the tubing AFTER the check-valve to be filled with water?

Here are the pictures, and my concern is, I can’t tell if this tubing AFTER the check valve (so tubing going right) is filled with water still, if it’s supposed to be, or if I am supposed to run it dry and turn on the reactor pumps afterwards. If so, how can I empty that much water to make sure the generator runs it dry?

Either way, pictures Sorry it’s a mess. Just keeping it accessible until I know it’s running right....

You can see if it’s taking air or not by looking at the top of the ozone reactor. If just a big air pocket/large bubbles, it’s not taking any air in from the generator. If it looks like messed up skimmer bubbles it’s running right.

On the air/reactor hose should be clear of water. If you have water in it, it’s not taking air.

When in doubt I pull the hose off the check valve and smell real quick for ozone. Couple time I got some water in my line when i took the line off. I just blow in it to push the water out of it and make sure the check valves working.

Ugh. Figured it out! Checking for leaks, fingers crossed. I have to be up in 5 hours so will update my build thread eventually!

Now water is leaking from the pump under the reactor. I tried tightening etc and it popped off completely, water everywhere, got a lot of nice jolts.....

I took it apart reconnected the pump from scratch and it still has a slight leak....

Otherwise this unit is super cool!

I don’t know anything about that, but will look into it. using every piece/part that the whole kit suggested

Last piece you need right here.

Let see some instal pics!

Thanks! I will get some install pics when I get the new base (1st one was broken) and I mount a shelf under my stand for the O3 generator and air-pump. I left it all kinda “out and accessible” so I could troubleshoot any issues I ran into. Will look more into my leaky Reactor-pump when I get home.

Time to look up that air-dryer and see how that all works!

I am having this issue as well. A slight leak where the pump meets the base, and re-seating it doesnt seem to work. I am thinking it needs a thicker gasket

I took it completely apart and reseated it, but it is there. I may actually put the whole unit in a storage tote to spare my cabinet from mold/rot, because it is a pretty small amount (now at least)

@AVAST Marine may be aware already???

Same experience -- the amount is very small, but over time it leaves a mess (i put some paper towels under it but after a couple weeks it was more than they could absorb). A tote or tray might be the way to go, or just putting it directly in the sump, but I will need to find room. Regarding reseating it, did you have trouble getting it out without damaging the impeller with the clear acrylic brace underneath it? I intentionally snapped the one acrylic brace off so i could cleanly pull the pump out.

If you unscrew all four nylon screws/nuts the entire bottom comes off and you can get the pump easier. My base was already broken, so I had no problem!

I hope they aren’t sending the whole thing?!?!? I just got this email 20 minutes ago:

The base was the only thing broken!!!
